This Bride really wanted a rustic/earthy wedding. Blake called it the hobbit wedding because of the moss mound center pieces and the tiny mushrooms. Boy was it a lot of work, although very rewarding. When I started this venture I had no idea how much flowers actually cost...just to give you a realistic view our flowers (this does not include labor or actual arrangement of the flowers) cost around $900. That's right folks that's just for the flowers at WHOLESALE. I know crazy right. So just know your florist probably isn't ripping you off, flowers are just crazy expensive.

Hello There!
As you might have noticed we've spruced a few things up. So, take a look around and stay a while. A few pages are still under construction but have no fear those should be up right quick so check back soon. One of the biggest reason for our change is that we have been having issues with commenting. So if you were one of the lucky commentators having trouble feel free to let your voice be heard. If for no other reason than to let us know we've got all the kinks worked out. Have you caught the fitness bug? Well you're in luck, check out the link to Blake's Blog {Momentum Training}. You won't be disappointed. There's also a link to my Design Blog{bricabrac}, but as you'll be able to see I have been slacking off majorly, hopefully I'll catch up soon. Also our apartment was featured recently on my friends too cute blog Opal Never Shouts. You can check it out HERE. I'll also post the pictures below. Well I think that's about it. As always thanks for stopping by.

By the way remember THIS? Didn't Blake do such a fabulous job! It's a tiny little apartment an obviously because we don't own it there are things we can't change (draperies...terrible) but well it's ours and we love it. Why is there no bedroom shot?... well because it's just a mattress on the floor, LOL... someday.
xoxo,

I really love Halloween it might be safe to say it's one of my favorite holidays. I mean think of all of the things it in incorporates, CANDY, COSTUMES, JACK-O-LANTERNS did I mention CANDY.
The one thing I don't really love about Halloween are cheesy decorations. I mean it's a holiday that celebrates dead spirits coming from beyond the gravy. I guess what I'm trying to say is happy smiling witches and silly skeletons really don't say Halloween to me, but DARK, CREEPY,BROODING HALLOWEEN WREATHS... just might cut it. So this year that's just what we did.
Blake really wanted to help with this project so off we went for supplies. I had seen these really beautiful black magnolias at one of the wholesale stores I frequent so we picked those up. I have really been into feathers lately so we also added some of those into the mix. Blake was insistent on mossy sticks and grosgrain ribbon, which he assured me he could distress to utter haunting perfection. So into the pot went the previous items a few other odds and ends and 1 can of matte black spray paint.

I rented this super nice camera online to help my Dad with his website. More on that subject later. So I thought while I have it for 2 weeks I better use it. And what better way then a photo shoot. Blake and I are by no means photographers and would never claim to be but we sure love to set up fun photo shoots. Remember this one. Well here's a sneak preview of our most recent adventure....

The glitter is kind of hard to see in the photo but, it just covered the white dahlia. Beautiful!
This order came in as Neon Blue Dress. Don't you just love how it turned out...neon blue here I come.
This corsage is my favorite because if you look closely you'll notice that the turquoise ribbon isn't really ribbon at all but rather turquoise flocking on green leaves. I know right!!
