'Tis the Season

Earlier this year I saw this brilliant picture on Pintrest.

I wish I knew who took it so I could give them credit. I just loved the simplicity of the photograph so I tucked it away for a day when I might be able to re-create it. Lucky for me I though it would make the perfect Christmas card. So we picked out some outfits bought a bunch of balloons and scoped out the perfect spot.

We thought the library would be the ideal location. So Toulouse and I stood really still while Blake set up the shot.

We even got super professional and marked the spots we were to stand. Then we tried to get Bella to sit. But she was so cold she was shaking. Then the wind stared to blow realy really hard.... and Tigan started to get super grouchy :( because she was cold and.... it turned, very quickly into a total disaster.

And then I remembered the balloons in that picture were perfectly still so they took them in a studio and added the rest in after effects. So now cold and grumpy we nixed the library idea and took them in our apartment hallway.

Now we're are not photographers nor graphic designers so it's not perfect but hey it got the point across. In the end we had fun making it and that's what really matters right!
